Sarajevo: Italian language courses for the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Begin today in Tuzla, at Eagle Base, Headquarters of the 5th Infantry Brigade Bosnian, the first Italian language courses organized for the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The purpose of the course is to acquire the seven officers and three NCOs Bosnians selected, a basic level of knowledge of the Italian language, a prerequisite for further study in the Italian military training institutions.

The initiative is part of the Defence Reform taking place in the Balkan country, which Italy is committed to participate in the training of officers and NCOs Bosnians to work in a multinational context according to NATO procedures in anticipation of a future accession the Country Alliance.

The course of four months, carried out with funds from the Ministry of Defense, will be held by Prof. Silvia Trogu, lecturer of Italian language at the University of Tuzla.

A second course in Italian for a further 5 Official Bosnians will take place from March 28, at the command of the 6th Infantry Brigade. Also it will be offered to learn Bosnian language for whom is interested.
